It’s not an easy task.

The name Sweetwater was actually Luke’s idea. I’m pretty sure it came from an old Western movie but the minute I heard it, I knew.

There are only 2 things a seed needs to germinate. Water and warmth . The seed is a tiny capsule that holds all of the information to create life. Jesus talks about seeds & water & orchards a lot. And so I’m just gonna follow Him on this journey. It seems that He’s already been leading the whole time.

We have lots of warmth (most days), but the one thing we lack is water.

Our sweet neighbors have been very gracious to share their water well with us over the years, but we knew that in order to support a fully functioning orchard, water was our first priority.

A huge thank you to Mitchell Hall and H2O drilling out of Harper, Kansas. Mitch is crazy smart and he says a lot of big words that I don’t understand. But I am very thankful for his knowledge and efficiency. We never could have done this without being surrounded by a whole lot of people smarter than us.
