All About a Kune Kune
We’ve decided on Fred & Wilma for our 2 little Kune Kune piglets. They are love birds after all.
There’s a lot to consider when choosing a pig breed. Especially when choosing pigs whose primary purpose is to clean the orchard floor after all of the fruit has fallen to the ground.
Kune Kune pigs are one of the smallest breeds with an average adult weight of 200-250lbs. Perfect for homesteaders like us.
They have very short, stubby snouts which means they won’t root as deep as other breeds. They are easy on our pastures & orchards & grassy areas.
They are pasture pigs which means they eat grass (and bugs) which also means less $ spent on grain for us.
Our family is completely in love!
